Preston Pinkett, III
Preston D. Pinkett III, serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of City National Bank of New Jersey and the Corporation. He joined the bank on March 1, 2011 as President and Chief Executive officer and was appointed Chairman of the Board on January 1, 2014. Prior to his employment at the Bank he was a Vice President at Prudential Financial Corporation where he oversaw Prudential’s social impact investments since 2007. Prior to his employment at Prudential, Mr. Pinkett had been the Senior Vice President at New Jersey Economic Development Authority (“NJEDA”) responsible for all financing, development and incentive programs. Prior to NJEDA, Mr. Pinkett served as a Senior Vice President of PNC Bank and Chemical Bank, New Jersey, managing the banks’ community development banking business. Mr. Pinkett is a member of the OCC’s Minority Depository Advisory Committee, and is the immediate-past Chairman of the National Bankers Association. He also serves as Chairman of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and serves on the Board at Montclair State University and New Jersey Banker’s Association.
Mr. Pinkett holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University as well as Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
