Digitization Program for Minority Banks
Digital transformation is no longer a choice for financial institutions but a necessity to thrive in today's technology-driven world. National Bankers Association Foundation understands the importance of digital transformation for minority-owned and -operated banks and has collaborated with the Alliance for Innovative Regulation (AIR) and Citi Foundation's Community Finance Innovation Fund to create the MDI ConnectTech digitization program for Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs).
MDI ConnectTech is a solution to ensure minority banks remain a sustainable financial epicenter and champion for economically vulnerable people and communities. It allows MDIs to remove affordability barriers, invest in technology and talent, and remain a valuable resource for financial access, wellness, and generational wealth in the community.
Digital Transformation with a purpose.
MDI ConnectTech will work with MDIs to develop and integrate technology solutions that multiply their lending capacity and increase financial services' access to and affordability to underserved customers. It will modernize and digitize MDIs and remove the affordability barrier by investing in technology and talent, allowing minority banks to remain sustainable financial epicenters and champions for economically vulnerable people and communities.
