Job Title: Program Manager – Financial Wellness and Small Business

National Bankers Association Foundation is the nonprofit arm of the National Bankers Association (NBA), the leading trade association for Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs) whose membership includes Black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, and women-operated banks across the country and advocate on legislative and regulatory matters concerning and affecting the industry, members, and the communities they serve.

MDIs are federally insured banks that serve predominantly minority communities, in which minorities own at least 51% of the voting stock and/or comprise most of the board of directors and serve predominately communities of color.

Overview
​
National Bankers Association Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to support our nonprofit organization's Financial Wellness and Small Business Partnership initiatives. The Program Manager will work closely with the Deputy Executive Director and Program Director for Financial Wellness Initiatives and Entrepreneurship and Small Business initiatives to support the development and implementation of various initiatives related to financial wellness and small business development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement Financial Wellness and Small Business Partnership initiatives.

Provide administrative support for grant proposals and management of grant-funded projects.

Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Assist in developing and implementing project work plans, aligning with overall goals and objectives.

Support research projects and impact stories related to financial wellness and small business development.

Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners for effective collaboration and implementation of project activities.

Qualifications
​

Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of experience required.

3+ years of program management, grant writing, and project coordination experience
-
Exceptional organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects at once.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in project management and working independently.
-
Preferred knowledge in financial wellness and small business development
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and project management software
-
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.

Location and Compensation

This hybrid position is based in Washington, DC, and may require occasional travel.

The funding for this position comes from grants.

The compensation for this position is up to $80,000/year.
