Nicole Elam Appointed to Export-Import Bank (EXIM) Advisory Committee and Council on Small Business

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Reta Jo Lewis, the Chair of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), appointed National Bankers Association President and CEO Nicole Elam to two of their newest committees. Elam is the EXIM Council on Advancing Women in Business co-chair for 2022-23 and a member of the Congressionally-established Advisory Committee.

In her role as Council on Advancing Women in Business co-chair, Elam will provide advice and recommendations to reach more women business leaders and owners and better consider equity goals set in the agency’s strategy. As a member of the Advisory Committee, she will be representing the financial sector and working with other Committee members to advise EXIM on its policies and programs.

In response to the appointments, Nicole Elam released the following statement: “I look forward to working with my colleagues on both the Advisory Committee and the EXIM Council on Advancing Women in Business. Having this opportunity with EXIM to elevate two groups I believe in so fully is such an honor. Women are leaders and MDIs are the key to closing the wealth gap, so this opportunity to elevate both of those truths is major."
